National Park Quarters Supplies
Beginning in early 2010, the U.S. Mint will issue 56 National Park Quarters as part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program. Each coin will depict a national park or other national site, beginning with Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Yosemite National Park in California, Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona and Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. Five new national site designs will be released each year, with the U.S. Mint issuing the quarters in the order in which the location was first established as a national park. The obverse (heads side) of each National Park quarter will feature a restored version of the familiar 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan.
